Choose the result you need before opening the timeline. This page is for removing old sound and putting a new track in its place.
Keep the visual edit you already have. The original soundtrack appears as its own clip, so you can remove it completely or cut out only the section that needs a better recording.
00:18 / 00:42All three paths open the same editor. The difference is how much of Original Audio you remove and where the replacement begins.
Use one new recording across the video when none of the original sound should remain.
Select the original clip and delete it from the timeline.
Import your music, narration or finished audio mix.
Preview the beginning, middle and ending before export.
Keep the usable original sound and replace only the mistake, noisy passage or outdated sentence.
Create edit points at the beginning and end of the section.
The original sound before and after it stays in place.
Move and trim the new recording until it fills the gap.
Replace noisy camera audio with a clearer microphone recording while keeping the same picture edit.
Use a clap, word or visible action as the alignment reference.
Line it up by listening and watching the video preview.
Set volume and soften the edit where the recordings change.
Replacement is manual, so you stay in control of what the viewer hears and when it starts. Watch the picture and listen around each edit before exporting.
Upload the video once, make the replacement on the timeline and download a new MP4.
Choose a local MP4, MOV, M4V, WebM or MKV file. Original Audio appears on the timeline.
Delete the whole original clip or split out one section, then add and align your own audio.
Check the picture and every audio change together, adjust volume or fades and download the finished video.
The video keeps its duration. AudioMuse fits audible clips inside that existing picture timeline instead of stretching the footage.
| Situation | What happens |
|---|---|
| New audio is longer | The part beyond the video duration is trimmed. |
| New audio is shorter | It plays once. Any uncovered section is silent after Original Audio is removed. |
| Only one section changes | The other Original Audio clips remain in place. |
| You export | A new MP4 is created with stereo AAC audio; the source file is unchanged. |
Your local files are processed in the browser, and the original video remains untouched on your device.

Editing creates a separate MP4. It does not overwrite the original video or the replacement recording.
Open the editor directly, preview the result and download it without creating an account or adding a logo.
Each input can be up to 100 MB and 10 minutes. Browser codec support and available device memory can impose lower practical limits. This tool does not separate dialogue from music already mixed into one soundtrack.
Answers about whole and partial replacement, mixed dialogue and music, timing, video quality, privacy and MP4 export.
Not if you delete all Original Audio clips before exporting. Your new recording then becomes the soundtrack. The editor starts with the video's first audio stream as Original Audio; any additional original audio streams are not included in the MP4 export. Your source file stays unchanged.
Yes. Split Original Audio at the start and end of the section you want to change, delete that section and place the new recording there. Leave the other original clips in place to keep their sound. The video itself is not cut.
Only when you already have the voice and music as separate files. If both are mixed into the video's original soundtrack, deleting it removes both. This tool does not separate a voice from background music.
Audio longer than the video is initially trimmed to fit. You can choose a different passage, trim it and set its start time. Shorter audio plays once, leaving any uncovered part silent after Original Audio is removed. Add another clip if needed; the video duration does not change.
Compatible H.264 video streams are copied without re-encoding. Other readable video codecs are converted to H.264, which can affect picture quality. The new soundtrack is exported as stereo AAC audio in an MP4. Subtitles and additional streams are not carried over.
You can use local files in a compatible mobile browser. Choose your video, remove its Original Audio and add the new recording. A desktop browser gives you more room for aligning clips and is recommended for larger files because processing uses device memory.
This tool edits a local video file, not an existing post or a YouTube URL. Download the edited MP4 and handle publishing separately on your chosen platform. No changes are made to your online video from here.
Yes. You can replace sound and download your MP4 without payment, a watermark or an account. Media processing runs on your device. Bring your own music or recorded narration; no music library or voice generator is included. Export before closing, as this tool does not save projects for later.
